The above Chart represents all attacks except HTTP based on
a Windows XP Honeypot system. There were a large quantity of HTTP based
attacks and probes, many Code Red and Nimda. This was a default Windows XP build with no
activity on the Internet available from Monday October 14th through

Chart 2:
Chart number 2 depicts attacks and probes over the weekend on a Windows XP Honeypot. This system ran Kazaa[1] and downloaded files over the course of 2 days. In addition to downloading, the system shared all downloaded files in Kazaa under default Kazaa settings. Relatively speaking, there was no indication of an increase in attacks from using Kazaa.
